DueWise is a free, cross-platform Progressive Web App (PWA) that helps you track expiration dates for food, medicine, household items, documents, and digital subscriptions. It works on any device — including iPhone, Android, and desktop — without requiring a separate app store download. DueWise uses Cloudflare D1 cloud storage to keep your data in sync across all your devices.
Q: Is DueWise free to use?
Yes, DueWise is completely free for registered users. The free plan includes up to 150 items, cloud sync across all your devices, CSV data import and export, and theme customization. A guest mode is also available without any registration, letting you track up to 10 items stored locally on your device. A PRO plan with unlimited items, smart push notifications, and advanced analytics is coming soon.
Q: Does it work without internet?
Yes! DueWise is built with an offline-first architecture using IndexedDB and Service Workers. You can add, edit, and browse all your tracked items even without an internet connection — for example, while shopping at a supermarket or in a basement with poor signal. When your connection is restored, DueWise automatically syncs all your changes to the cloud through Cloudflare Workers.

DueWise runs on any modern browser on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux. As a Progressive Web App, you can install DueWise directly from your browser — tap 'Add to Home Screen' on mobile Safari or Chrome, or use the install button in Chrome or Edge on desktop. No app store needed.
Q: How do the notifications work?
DueWise uses Web Push Notifications (powered by the VAPID protocol) to send expiry alerts directly to your phone or computer, even when the app is closed. You can customize how many days in advance you want to be warned per item, and configure global smart thresholds. On mobile, notifications appear exactly like native app notifications.
Q: How does barcode scanning work?
DueWise includes a built-in camera barcode scanner that looks up product information from the Open Food Facts database — the world's largest open food database. Just tap the scan icon, point your camera at any product barcode, and DueWise automatically fills in the product name and category. Scan results are cached locally for instant repeat lookups.
Q: What types of items can I track with DueWise?
DueWise supports tracking any item with an expiration date: groceries and perishable food, medicines and health supplements, cosmetics and skincare products, household consumables, digital subscriptions (streaming, software, memberships), passports and ID documents, warranties for electronics and appliances. You can create fully custom categories to match your lifestyle.

Yes. DueWise supports Shared Spaces, which let multiple users collaborate on a single item list. You can invite family members or housemates by email, and everyone gets real-time access to the shared list. Q: Is my data safe and private?
Your data is stored in Cloudflare D1, a globally distributed database with automatic encryption at rest. Access requires authentication through Google or GitHub OAuth — nobody else can see your items. You can export all your data as a CSV file at any time. DueWise does not sell your personal data or show targeted advertisements.
